Synopsis

Fifty years from now the nation has an elevated highway that spans the length. This highway is initially constructed as a result of terrorism, at least in the name of. The government suspends and grounds all commercial air travel to build the black diamond, which becomes a dangerous road that is filled with gearheads, misfits, drug runners and criminals. The road is filled with illegal 1970's muscle cars. The government steps in to clean up the Black Diamond, but trouble ensues. Dr. Don McLaughlin's wife is taken hostage which forces him to borrow his brother in law's 1973 Mercury Cougar in order to go 150 feet above ground and 100mph to get her back.
